How to Make High-Precision Architectural Sand Table Models

Architectural sand table models are essential tools for real estate, urban planning, and construction enterprises to showcase project layouts, spatial logic, and design concepts to global clients. With a replication accuracy of over 90%, these models intuitively present building styles, landscape layouts, and supporting facilities, making them ideal for overseas exhibitions, corporate showrooms, and client presentations. The production process combines precision craftsmanship and professional materials, ensuring durability and export-friendliness.

Material selection is the foundation of a high-quality sand table model. We use high-grade ABS boards for building main structures, which are lightweight, easy to cut, and resistant to deformation, suitable for long-distance shipping. High-transmittance acrylic is adopted for glass curtain walls and windows to restore light transmission effects. Simulated turf and micro landscape ornaments are used for green areas, while high-density wood boards serve as the base for stability. Eco-friendly adhesives, industrial spray paints, and UV-printed labels are also used to meet international environmental and safety standards.
The production process is rigorous and systematic. First, we convert architectural CAD drawings into scaled 3D models, confirming proportions and key details. Then, laser cutting is used to process ABS boards into building components, which are bonded and polished to eliminate seams. 3D-printed parts are used for complex details like balconies and roof structures.
Landscape and supporting facilities are then assembled, including simulated roads, parking lots, and green spaces. For dynamic display, miniature LED lights are embedded to simulate night lighting effects. Finally, we spray matching paints, apply a matte clear coat for protection, and add UV-printed project labels and logos. Each model undergoes strict inspection to ensure structural stability and detail accuracy, packaged safely for global delivery.
