Production of photosensitive resin building models: detailed presentation of factory exterior scenes
In the field of architectural design and display, model making is a crucial step. Recently, I participated in a building model production project with a factory as the exterior, using photosensitive resin as the main material, striving to present the appearance and details of the factory realistically.
Design concept and drawing preparation
At the beginning of the project, our team conducted in-depth research on the actual layout and design drawings of the factory, combined with display requirements, and determined the scale of the model to be 1:100. Subsequently, using professional 3D modeling software, the building structure, surrounding environment, and other elements of the factory were digitally modeled to prepare for subsequent 3D printing.
3D printing with photosensitive resin
The photosensitive resin material is an ideal choice for this model production due to its high precision, smooth surface, and ability to present complex details. We use high-precision 3D printers to layer print digital models, cure photosensitive resin layer by layer, and finally stack them into complete factory buildings and surrounding terrain.
During the printing process, special attention is paid to the details of the factory's appearance. For example, the texture of the factory's walls and the shape of doors and windows are perfectly presented through meticulous model design during the printing process. At the same time, in order to enhance the three-dimensional and hierarchical sense of the model, we also adopted different printing parameters for different parts of the factory, making the model more visually rich and diverse.
Post processing and assembly
After printing, the model components need to undergo post-processing steps such as cleaning and removing support structures. During this process, we carefully operated to ensure that the fine structure of the model was not damaged. Subsequently, according to the design drawings, assemble each component to form a complete factory model.
Add environment and details
In order to make the model more vivid and realistic, we also added surrounding environmental elements to the factory model. For example, using green materials to simulate grasslands, laying roads with small sand and gravel, and even decorating them with miniature trees and vehicle models to create a busy and orderly factory atmosphere.
Coloring and Display
The final step is coloring. We use paint that is similar in color to the actual color of the factory to spray the model carefully. During the coloring process, special attention should be paid to the transition and combination of colors to make the model visually more harmonious and unified.
The completed photosensitive resin factory building model not only has a realistic appearance and rich details, but also has a stable structure and is easy to display. It not only provides an intuitive display tool for the architectural design team, but also provides great convenience for subsequent customer communication, scheme modification, etc.
