Offshore Energy Sandtable Model Production Case
Project Background
A 1:150 scale model was commissioned to showcase an integrated offshore wind-oil platform, featuring dynamic wave simulation and night lighting systems. Key elements include turbine arrays, subsea cables, and support vessels.

Core Production Stages
1. Structural Framework
Main platform: Laser-cut aviation aluminum with TIG-welded joints, magnetic quick-release interfaces on support legs
Seabed terrain: CNC-milled polyurethane foam base coated with layered epoxy resin for translucent water effects
2. Component Fabrication
Wind turbines: Vacuum-formed PETG blades with 3D-printed nacelles containing micro bearings for rotation
Drilling rig: Photo-etched stainless steel railings, laser-engraved non-slip deck patterns
3. Environmental Detailing
Dynamic water: UV-printed wave patterns on stacked acrylic sheets, magnet-driven undulation at 0.5Hz
Marine life: Gypsum-cast coral clusters with mineral pigments, hand-painted fish schools on shrink film
4. Finishing System
Weathering: Industrial gray primer base with alcohol-diluted oil paint rust streaks
Ocean gradient: Airbrushed depth-to-shallows transition, resin-enhanced wave crest highlights
Quality Control
AR-assisted blueprint alignment (tolerance ≤1.2mm)
Circadian rhythm lighting with 3000K-6000K color temperature shift
3x spare parts for high-wear components (e.g., ship anchor chains)
All processes comply with marine engineering standards, with full production documentation available via our facility's monitoring system. Dynamic demos can be arranged at our showroom.
